Gonda: Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam Managing Director Dharmveer Singh conducted a detailed inspection of ongoing and recently completed bridge projects in Gonda and Bahraich districts, emphasizing the need for maintaining high construction standards, safety measures, and timely completion of infrastructure works.
The inspection follows directives issued by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during a recent review meeting, in which he stressed the importance of accelerating key infrastructure projects while ensuring quality and public safety.
During his visit, the Managing Director reviewed the progress of an under-construction Rail Over Bridge (ROB) being developed under a major infrastructure project. He directed officials and engineers associated with the executing agency to ensure that the bridge is completed within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with prescribed quality benchmarks and safety protocols.
Singh made it clear that any negligence in project execution would not be tolerated and instructed the concerned teams to closely monitor every stage of construction. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to technical specifications and maintaining strict supervision throughout the project period.
The Managing Director later inspected the newly constructed Rail Over Bridge at Level Crossing No. 40A in Bahraich. During the visit, he reviewed the completed work and directed officials to immediately finish the remaining finishing and ancillary works so that commuters can fully benefit from the improved transportation facility at the earliest.

Highlighting the importance of accountability and quality assurance, Singh instructed officials to conduct regular third-party testing of all ongoing bridge projects through authorized institutions. He said independent quality assessments would help ensure compliance with engineering standards and strengthen public confidence in the infrastructure being created.
The review also included a detailed assessment of technical aspects, project milestones, construction progress, and safety arrangements. Officials discussed strategies to expedite pending work while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
Project Manager Sughar Singh and other senior engineers were present during the inspection and briefed the Managing Director on the status of various projects and the timelines for their completion.
The inspection reflects the state government’s continued focus on strengthening transport infrastructure, improving connectivity, and ensuring that public projects are delivered efficiently and safely for the benefit of citizens.
